Project Bio
Shoot two scripted comedy spots to be used internally for Cigna, with the recurring message of "get the flu shot before the flu gets you."
The job required developing the project from script to post, for a two day shoot central to CT. Our team's responsibility included coming up with a script, casting, location scouting, a 2 day shoot, client management, and post production.
My Role
Both the EP and the Director were in based in LA for pre-production.
Pre-production // Line producing
*Joined client, agency, and production company on all pre-pro conference calls to discuss shoot concept, logistics, and needs.
*Was given an entire project budget and tasked with sourcing gear and finding, negotiating with, and hiring crew, including; director of photography, gaffer, AC, sound op, HMUA, wardrobe, and several PAs.
*Call-sheet and scheduling.
*Casting Director - both the executive producer and the director were in LA while the client and talent were local. That means I stepped into a casting director's role, meeting with the 3 client members and walking through the casting audition with all of the talent options, afterwards reviewing and debriefing with client.
*Location Scout - The project was heavily location-dependable, primarily because there was no art director or extensive set-decoration budget. The script required the location to have modern cubicles, a modern kitchen office, and to be central to Connecticut, for a two day shoot. The chosen location ended up being an active co-working space, and required careful navigating, both during scouting and during production.
Field Producer
*Managed client, crew, and talent // extras.
*Release forms.
*Craft services, logistics, time management.
* Locations manager (lights, HVAC, interface for locations owners, maintaining balance between production crew and active office workers).
Line Producer
*invoice information for all talent, crew, and extras.
*Comprehensive budget breakdown and accounting, including receipt documentations, credit accounting, and overall +/- on budget in my control [ we were under ;) ].
